To the O'Roake family.....so sorry to hear about your loss. I remember him well from visits to the Morgan's in Albia. I would be at the house with Diane. What a nice family and loved seeing the kids. I have tried to stay updated on how they are all doing and their extended families. This is a tough time for everyone. Relish the good times and all of the wonderful memories! I'm very sorry for your loss. I'll always remember how good your Dad was to me as a kid. I don't know how many times he would give me rides home from the skating rink so I didn't have to walk. I remember 1 night when the discussion went to my middle name, Elaine. Which I didn't like much. He egged me on. Only to find out that your Mom's first name was Elaine. They both laughed and laughed, we all did. I always liked your parents a lot, good people.

We have been friends of O'Roake family for years and especially with Kevin. Spent many a night at O'Roakes in my late teens and Francis was a gem of a guy. Sharp mind and great businessman is what I'll remember most. Enjoyed those years a lot and saw Francis occasionally in later years at Elks on visits back to Newton. Good man. We would like to offer our condolences to the entire O'Roake extended family during this difficult time. Prayers to all.

I am so sorry to hear about Francis. He was born the same year as my Dad. Mrs. O'Roake passed the same year as my Dad. At Christmas Mass several years later, Francis saw my Mom at Mass with us. He gave her a big friendly hello and a big hug. I could really see what a big heart he had. God bless his soul.
