Russell A. Priaulx
Russell went home to be with his Savior on August 6, 2017, at Skiff Medical Center in Newton.
A time of remembrance and celebration of life will be 11 a.m.; Wednesday, August 9, 2017, at the First Christian Church in Newton, with a visitation an hour prior to the services. In lieu of flowers, and as an expression of sympathy, memorials may be designated to the First Christian Church or to Russ' family. The Pence ~ Reese Funeral Home in Newton, have been entrusted with the arrangements.
Russell A. Priaulx, 91, was born October 1, 1925, near Kellogg, the son of Lloyd and Fay (Frantz) Priaulx. Moving to Newton in 1927, he was a graduate of the Newton Senior High School. Russ served his country with the US Army Air Corps, during World War II.
On October 1, 1948, Russ was united in marriage to Geraldine A. "Geri" Davis, at the Methodist Church in Newton. Russ devoted his life to his family and was an active member of the First Christian Church in many varied capacities. Over the years he was employed as a hardware clerk, auto parts manager, and retired on December 31, 1989, from the Maytag Company in Human Resources, after thirty-six years of service.
Russ is survived by his wife Geri of Newton; his daughters: Jane (James) Brand of Monroe, Vivian (Dan) Ahnemann of Clear Lake and Mary Priaulx of Newton; his four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; and many good neighbors and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents; and a brother Dwight Priaulx.
