Obituary of Frances - - - Dearinger

Funeral services for Frances Dearinger, will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 3, 2010, at the Pence~Reese Funeral Home in Newton, who have been entrusted with the arrangements. A visitation with the family will be held from 1:00 p.m. until service time Tuesday, at the funeral home. As an expression of sympathy, memorials in Frances' name are being designated to the Newton Salvation Army.
Frances Dearinger, 94, the daughter of Frank W. and Loretta (Cox) Johnson, was born March 28, 1916 at Monroe, Iowa. A lifelong resident of the Jasper County area, she graduated from the Monroe Senior High School, Class of 1933.
On December 19, 1936, Frances was united in marriage with Howard Dearinger in Des Moines, Iowa. She devoted her life to her family and friends, and enjoyed helping Howard on the farm. She later sold massage equipment for Niagara Massage Company and American Massage Company. Frances actively managed her own rental properties for 40 years, and was a member of the First Christian Church in Newton. She enjoyed her family, pets, music, playing the organ and electric key board, reading and watching Judge Judy.
Frances died on Saturday morning, July 31, 2010, at her home in Newton. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Howard on June 8, 2000; her brother Steven Johnson; and her sister Helen Harris.
Those left to honor Frances' memory include her daughter Karen Backus and Karen's companion Clint Wickett of Newton; and her many friends.
Frances will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Calling hours will be Tuesday from One hour prior to services at Pence ~ Reese Funeral Home, 310 N. 2nd Ave. E., Newton, IA. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2:00 at Pence ~ Reese Funeral Home, 310 N. 2nd Ave. E., Newton with Pastor Mark Young officiating.
Burial will be in Newton Union Cemetery, Newton on Tuesday at .
