I met Joe and Evelyn when I moved to Newton in the mid 1950's and we both lived in an apartment house on Hwy 6 East. My name at that time was Lola Gifford. I am now living in Burlington, IA. I remember Joe as a gentle, kind and loving husband and father. God speed......

I spent my childhood listening to uncle Joe and Dad laughing and telling jokes. They were each others best friend. I know they are happy to be back together again. If you listen you can hear Uncle Joe's laugh floating down from the clouds. I know he has that twinkle back in his eye. He is safe and happy to be back with Evelyn, Dad and Grandma Kelly.
