My heart is heavy today to hear about Doyle. Doyle has been in my life for 20+ years. I took care of his mother, Nora, in Prairie City in the late 80's. We can easily reminisce about his mom, farming and how he met Louise. Doyle was not just a "resident' to me. He was my friend, mentor and confidant. He would try to educate me about investments to livestock. He looked out after me. He was always asked me If I was ok and doing well. He knew that he could talk to me about anything as I could him. We have had laughs together and have cried together. A couple of years ago, I introduced him to the internet and the Decorah Eagle. We watched the babies hatch and watched them leave the nest one by one. He would come to the office and watch them on the computer and never take his eyes off eagles. I have many good memories with Doyle and I will cherish them all. I am so glad that I was able to be apart of his life all these years and I feel blessed to have been able to build relationships with both daughters as the years have gone by.
