I lived on the same floor as Sara at Hutchinson Community College. We were friends, and I always admired her artistic talents and her sewing skills. Obviously, she was also a beauty with delightful sense of humor. I left HCC after one year to go on to school at Hays and lost track of her. I have wondered so many times about this vivacious young woman - where she had gone, what had happened to her. I am heartsick to learn of her passing. I watched the video and saw that same vivacity that I remember from so many years ago. My sympathies to her family and friends. I can't tell you how much I wish I had known where to find her and how I regret not knowing that she was ill. Had I known, I could have at least sent her cards and notes of encouragement.

It' hard to know what to say other than your family has my heartfelt sympathy. Sara lived a beautiful life with beautiful people surrounding her. I'm just sorry you couldn't enjoy her for many more years, but her presence will be with you all to remember and talk about forever. Sending my deepest sympathy to Sara's family and friends. I had no idea Sara had been fighting such a long battle with cancer. I attended high school with Sara and one year with her at Hutchinson Community College. We were cheerleaders together in high school and on the same dance team at HCC. Both my husband and I were classmates of Sara. Levi went with her K through 12 and also while she was at HCC. I didn't meet her until I was probably 5th grade, but also went to HCC. Sara could light up a room, and we last saw her a few years ago when she came to Little River for a reunion of football players and cheerleaders. You have our heartfelt sympathies - her smile will be missed by many.
