Francis I don't know where to begin you are an amazing person that truly does for everyone, you brought a smile to my face every sunday and my children will forever have wonderful memories of you and the circus. Francis and Ida Mae were the best neighbors my parents could have ever had in Baxter. After Ida Mae's passing, Francis ended up living in Newton. When my parents moved to Newton, once again, they were neighbors. Soon after, Dad passed and Francis would often check in on Mom. Now Francis will be laid to rest with Ida Mae and once again, they are neighbors as their stone is next to Dad's. Good neighbors, good friends, good memories.

Grandpa!!!! It was sooo amazing to finally be able to see you this February. I am soo happy that we got to spend a week together catching up on old times. It was soo magical to have you meet Ryan (your first great, great grandchild). I know it was something I will never forget. I keep looking at pictures of us that week and they just make me soo happy. You are such an amazing man. I only hope my son grows up to be half the man you are. You have always been so warm hearted with anyone and everyone you've ever come into contact with. I was so lucky to have a great grandfather like you. Thank you for teaching me so many things in life. I am happy that you are finally with Grandma. I'm sure you guys are having an amazing time together now. No worries, I will see you again. We love you like crazy. And can't wait to see that wonderful smile again. I couldn't believe at 96 you looked so great. Thanks for being an inspiration to everyone. You are such a gentleman. Love you GRANDPA. Always and Forever!!!

Francis walked by my desk here at Park Centre every morning on his way to exercise. He always spoke to me on his way by and always had a smile for me. He was always in a good mood. He loved to bring down memorabilia and share with us and tell us the interesting stories that went with the item. I will miss him very much, he was very special and one of the most likeable people I have ever met. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you.

I met Francis thru my mom and step-dad, Luther & Jeanne Rhodes a probably 4-5 years ago at Newton Village. Thru the years, he had become a very precious, gentle man to me and my family. I have never met anyone so active and in such good health at his age, and so giving to others. I will greatly miss him when I come back to Iowa to visit Luther.

I remember getting to go to Francis and Ida Mae's and watch Bonanza in color for the first time on their tv. Got to see the channel 13 peacock too. Aunt Blanche was there too. Was quite an exciting night. I always enjoyed them. Francis always helped to get us alot of shriners for the fun days parade. I remember him saying "promise to give them food and alcohol and you will have a great turn out." He was right!!! Rest in peace Buddy! :)

Francis i will never forget you, and how you said hi to me every sunday morning at church, it was so great seeing you on sundays. I won't forget how you and my grandpa always set together at the chicken noodle dinners and welcomed people as they walked threw the door. And the circus tickets you had given us so we could take my daughter to it. You will always be missed. And i will always be looking in the back pew at church seeing you worshiping with us. U are such a wonderful man, and so glad you where a part of our church family. Love always.

Frankie..........there are no words.....I truely loved you! I was in awe of you. I will never forget all the wonderful things you would say. Going to the "Shriners Party" with you & Doris & Billie listening ....(very loud) to Hawiian music the whole way there & back!!!! :) oh what fun I had that nite!!!! I loved watching you attend to your wifes grave everyday after you left the Grannys Diner. Wow what an AMAZING....AMAZING MAN. I hope everone learned something from you! I will miss you!!!
