Obituary of Nadine Carol Blau

Nadine Carol Blau, age 85, of Newton, formerly of Mason City, IA, died Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at Nelson Manor with family by her side. A graveside memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Sunday, June 21st at Amsterdam Cemetery in Goodell, Iowa. A time of visiting with the family will be held at the American legion hall in Meservey, Iowa following the service. Nadine was born in May 18, 1930 to Jacob and Mayme (Mrazek) Watermiller. She graduated from Sheffield High School in 1948 and married Kenneth Blau in 1952. They farmed for many years before Nadine took a job at Winnebago Industries, prior to working at Minnesota Rubber from which she later retired. Nadine is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Jim) Kingery of Monroe and son, Jeff (Karen) Watermiller of Mason City; grandchildren Chad, Craig, and Jake (Heather) Kingery and Tyler Watermiller; great-grandchildren Cayli, Owen, and Nathanael; her brother Bob (Shirley) Watermiller of Belmond, her sister, Jayne (John) Kintz of Grinnell, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Kenneth, in 1974, and brothers Jim and Herman.
