Aunt Katherine was a beautiful person and a friend to all. She will be missed by all. She was my favorite aunt. We spent alot of time together when I was younger. I babysit all of her 5 older childern. We use to go to dances with Sam & Katherine years ago. She will be greatly missed by all. Love Roberta

We enjoyed the visits that Katherine made to North Dakota. We were glad that we had made it to one of the family reunions. They were so special for her. She loved her family very much and was very proud of all of you. We always enjoyed her letters. I must confess I wasn't as good at the answers as I should have been. Katherine is my big sister and I am the baby of the family. She watched over me while I was growing up like a mother, (until I out-grew her) then she just taught me some of her old tricks. I remember the horseback riding with the Collins boys and Catherine and AnnaBelle. Roaming the country roads of Madison County..Spending the night at the Gronwolds and being roused early morning to milk the cows..I remember the first time the girls appeared in Van Meter School.

Katherine was a neighbor, friend and classmate. A very good hearted person, not a mean bone in her body. A tough basketball player, a hustler! When I think of my aunt Katherine I think of her smile, her laugh and her calmness. I am a mother of 5, I can't imagine how she held onto her sanity with 9 children close in age. But she did and was very proud of them and their children. She always had a photo of the latest addition to show us. Also, I remember her love of her parents. May she rest in the loving arms of the Lord.

Katherine was my good neighbor on N 4th Ave W. She would visit with me and it was always a pleasant encounter. When she moved to Mo.we wrote to each other.
