Margaret Patricia Bates, 92, passed away Thursday afternoon, November 20, 2014, at Park Centre Health Care in Newton.
Funeral services for Pat will be 1:30 p.m., Monday, November 24, 2014, at the First United Methodist Church in Newton. Pence ~ Reese Funeral Home in Newton, have been entrusted with the arrangements. Pastor Gary Marzolf is conducting the services. Visitation with the family will be held from 1:00 p.m until 1:30 p.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials in Pat’s name are being designated to: First United Methodist Church or Kellogg Historical Society. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery in Laurel.
Pat, the daughter of Stephen and Ann (Beggs) Burrows, was born January 28, 1922, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
On April 17, 1983, Pat was united in marriage with Hugh Elmer Bates in Edmonds, Washington.
