Obituary of Jerry Wayne Stewart Sr.

Jerry Wayne Stewart, Sr., the son of Frank Leroy and Nola Jean (Osten) Stewart, was born February 13, 1951, in Colfax, Iowa. Jerry was a graduate of the Colfax Senior High School. Following graduation, Jerry joined the US Navy.
On August 15, 1974, Jerry was united in marriage with Beverly Ann Chance. Together they would make their home in Newton and raise their family. Jerry worked as a mechanic and could fix anything that had a motor.
Jerry died on Monday, September 25, 2023, at his home in Newton. He was 72 years old. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Jerry Wayne, Jr.; a granddaughter, Chrystal; a son-in-law, Pat Morrow; his sister, Linda; his brother, Jim and a nephew, Skip.
Those left to honor Jerry's memory include his children: Ann Morrow, Tim Sholley, Vernon Sholley, Scot Stewart and Audra Lewis; his twelve grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
A private family service will be held at the Iowa Veteran's Cemetery in Van Meter, Iowa. Memorials may be designated in Jerry's name and may be left at the Pence ~ Reese Funeral Home.
