I went to Grinnell-Newburg School with Denise. We were best friends. I use to spent the night with her when she lived on Highway F17. And she would spend the night with me and help do chores on our farm. We had the best times together growing up. Got older and drifted apart. Seen her in Newton working at a gas station. Lost contact with her but often thought about her. RIP Denise....I will miss you.

Denise and i went to school together and she was the best friend that anyone could ever hope to have. You could always count on her to have your back. She will be missed by many but will always be remembered for her caring heart and the love she shared with others. She always had a smile no matter what was going on. I will miss her alot. I went to school with Denise in the Grinnell Newburg Schools. She was always a happy go lucky kind loving person. I always remember her with a big smile and a bubbly laugh. She was a very kind, caring person with a heart of gold and enjoyed and loved her life. God bless her family.

I have known Denise for more than 26 years, long before her children were born. I was greatly saddened to her of her passing. She was a true friend. She alway had a smile no matter what, she was a happy go lucky person with a knack for talking to everyone with ease. She never complained about lifes road or her problems. Ok well katrina and Zack i am kinda chokey on this because your moms was so awsome . I know she helped me through alot of hard times and she was such a good person. I can remember when she lived next door to me and brooke and zack would go over and just kinda hang with her and i had to always make sure they weren;t buggin here and she would just laugh. She is going to be greatly missed! You had a devoted mom there despite all the struggles we all go through in life! I love ya both!! Still have your pics that mom gave me for my fridge and they r on there!!

Denise and I worked at Dell Oil together. We had a lot of fun when we worked. She helped me a lot and I enjoyed her company so much. She was always happy and smiling. She could light up a room. I lost touch with her as of late but I will miss her dearly. My thoughts are with you Zach & Katrina. She was so proud of you both.

My prayers go out to the family. Zach we have talked but I wanted to once again say I will always remember the joy in Denise's heart. She would enter the journalism room smiling and laughing and caring so much for how everyone was doing. It was so easy to feel how very proud she was of her children and their successes. I am so very sorry to hear of the loss of this wonderful girl with a huge heart. We grew up across the street from each other in Aurora Heights in Newton & Denise's birtday was just 2 days before mine. We reconnected in 1998 & she babysat for my then 8 year old son after school. She was so wonderful & caring of my son. What a good person she was & will always be remembered. My prayers go out to her children & family for their loss. God Bless you Denise- I know you're in heaven with the Lord.
