Jeremy Douglas Biondi, the son of John Daniel and Dorothy Ann (Simpson) Biondi, was born March 6, 1974, in Des Moines, Iowa. He graduated from North Polk High School in 1992. On May 29, 1999, Jeremy married his best friend and love of his life, Nicole Ziller at Our Lady’s Immaculate Heart Church in Ankeny. Together they were blessed with three beautiful children. Jeremy learned the welding trade at DeeZee manufacturing. When a fellow church member recognized his skills and talents he was offered a welding position at Quality Manufacturing. After a work injury ended his welding career, he turned to his favorite hobby, cooking and grilling. Then together with his wife, in faith and trust, they opened their own restaurant. Jeremy was a Pitmaster and owner of Moo’s BBQ, an award winning restaurant in Newton, Iowa. In addition to his love of cooking, Jeremy enjoyed racing and was a huge fan of the Las Vegas Raiders. No matter their record, he stayed a true fan. He took each of his children to a Raiders game - he even made it to the new stadium in Las Vegas last year! He truly enjoyed his ‘hobby-stock’ race car which was painted like a cow and the call number of M00. Race announcers were known to state he was “udderly” fantastic. Jeremy’s love of life and big heart were present in all he did and for all he knew. He was passionate about helping others and he touched many peoples’ lives in very special ways, with his humor, his food, his love, friendship, and generosity. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where he was involved as an Extraordinary Eucharistic minister and a Third Degree Knight of Columbus. Jeremy died at the age of 48 on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at his home in Newton, Iowa after a courageous 2 year battle with a rare autoimmune disease. Jeremy was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Louis and Ruth Simpson; his paternal grandparents, Guy and Jean Biondi, his uncles, Donald Simpson, Rich Fox and Roger Biondi; and his cousin Jennifer Greimann. Those left to honor Jeremy’s memory include his wife, Nicole; his son, Zane Biondi of Newton, IA, his daughters, Lydia Biondi and Giada Biondi; his parents, Dan and Dorothy Biondi of Sheldahl, IA; his brother and sister-in-law, Jeff & Tracy Biondi of Kaiser, Oregon; his in-laws Dick and Connie Ziller of Panora, IA, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Scott Ziller of Knoxville,IA, Chad & Amy Ziller of Omaha, NE, Nick & Angela Rohrer of El Dorado,KS, and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass, celebrated by Fr. Tony Herold, will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, October 28, 2022, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Newton. A Facebook Live broadcast of the service will begin at 10:30 am, Friday, October 28th on the Pence-Reese Funeral Home and Cremation Services Facebook page. Interment will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. A time of visitation with the family will be from 6:00 pm until 8:00pm Thursday, October 27, 2022, at the Pence-Reese Funeral Home. A public prayer service will begin at 5:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, any memorials may be designated in Jeremy’s name to his children’s education funds and may be left at the church or at Pence-Reese Funeral Home. My Tribute Gift Foundation makes this online charitable giving portal web page MyTributeGift.org (the “Website”) available to you subject to your acceptance of and compliance with these terms of use (the “Terms of Use”). Your donation will be processed through My Tribute Gift Foundation for distribution to your selected charity. Your credit card transaction record will appear as My Tribute Gift Foundation. An official tax receipt for your donation will be issued by My Tribute Gift Foundation. Donations are sent out to charities at the end of each month for all donations received in that previous month. So a donation made on the first day of the month would be sent at the same time as one made on last day. Payments would be sent either by paper check or direct deposit. Please note that the there is 3% + 35¢/transaction fee for credit card processing, My Tribute Gift Foundation collects a 5% administrative fee. These fees help fund the cost of processing all donations, issuing tax receipts, and sending all appropriate information to the selected charity. These fees are assumed by your selected charity, but you will receive a receipt for the full amount of your donation. There are NO additional costs the charity has to endure to participate and accept donations through MyTributeGift.org. According to the American Institute for Philanthropy (charitywatch.org) a charitable organization is considered “Good” if they are spending less than 30% on administration and fundraising costs. My Tribute Gift Foundation helps reduce those administrative costs for charities and allows donors to contribute to lasting memorials for their loved ones.
When donating online, if the donation form has an option to add a tip, there is no convenience fee. The tip is optional and can be adjusted before you submit your donation. The amount of the tip will be displayed to you before you confirm the charge to your payment card. Tips are in addition to the donation amount, so they do not affect the amount that goes to the charitable organization. Under IRS and CRA rules, tips are not tax deductible to the donor.
You warrant and represent that all information and materials you provide to My Tribute Gift Foundation, through the Website or otherwise, are accurate and truthful and do not violate third party rights. Indemnity. YOU AGREE TO INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS THE FOUNDATION PARTIES FROM AND AGAINST ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, DEMANDS, ACTIONS, SUITS AND PROCEEDINGS BROUGHT BY YOU OR ANY THIRD PARTY (COLLECTIVELY "CLAIMS") ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THIS SITE IN BREACH OF THESE TERMS OF USE OR THE INFRINGEMENT BY YOU OF ANY INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS OF ANY PERSON OR ENTITY, INCLUDING ALL LOSSES, LIABILITIES, DAMAGES, COSTS AND EXPENSES (INCLUDING ALL LEGAL FEES) ARISING FROM SUCH CLAIMS.
If in any part of these Terms of Use is held, by a court of competent jurisdiction, to be invalid or unenforceable, such part of these Terms of Use shall be eliminated to the extent permitted in that jurisdiction, for purposes of that jurisdiction, and the remaining Terms of Use shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.
These Terms of Use and your use of the Website are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and all federal laws of Canada applicable therein. The courts of the Province of Ontario shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of these Terms of Use or your use of the Website.
These Terms of Use constitute the entire agreement between you and My Tribute Gift Foundation with respect to the Website, except as we may explicitly agree otherwise in writing.. No delay or failure to exercise any right with respect to these Terms of Use shall be construed as a waiver by My Tribute Gift Foundation.
As a donor, you are responsible for researching the charity, understanding how your money will be used, and understanding the tax implications of your donation. We will email you a receipt, but the deductibility of your donation depends on your individual tax situation. We are not financial, tax, or legal experts. Please do not rely on our information to make decisions about your finances, taxes or legal matters. Consult a qualified professional in your jurisdiction.
Participating organizations have chosen to actively participate in the “Sponsor Program” to be represented in the Sponsor Charity array in an effort to increase their exposure and the opportunity for more memorial donations to be made to their organization. A rate structure is agreed upon and assessed on each donation processed through that program according to each organization’s individual agreement. Giving through that program has helped many organizations realize a drastic and significant increase in net donations.
If a donation form has a line item of Convenience Fee. The Convenience fee is displayed to you prior to approving the charge to your payment card. The convenience fee is in addition to the donation amount, so they do not affect the amount reaching the charitable organization. For example, a $100 donation becomes a $101.50 transaction. The convenience fee is directed immediately to a for-profit service provider. According to IRS and CRA rules the tax deductible receipt will therefore only be issued for the subtotal amount.
My Tribute Gift Foundation seeks to distribute all funds to organizations provided they have maintained active 501c3 certification in the United States or registered charity status in Canada. MTG relies on the beneficiary organizations to maintain and keep up to date contact information on file with the IRS or CRA respectively. This must be done in order for My Tribute Gift Foundation to exercise care and reasonable efforts to distribute payment promptly, without undue cost and burden to the foundation. In the event that a payment has not been deposited 12 months from issuance, the foundation reserves the right to utilize those funds in its mission to the foundation.
My Tribute Gift Foundation reserves the right to modify, change, discontinue and suspend these Terms of Use, the Website, and/or any services offered through the Website, in whole or in part, at any time, without prior notice to you. Your continued access or use of the Website after modifications to these Terms of Use have been posted on the Website shall indicate your acceptance of and agreement to be bound by these Terms of Use as modified. It is your responsibility to review these Terms of Use regularly.
