A memorial services for Carolyn will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, July 30, 2020, at Pence ~ Reese Funeral Home in Newton, who has been entrusted with the arrangements. Memorials are being designated to Carolyn's family. Visitation will be just prior to the services at the funeral home, 1200 p.m. until service time. Burial will be in the Newton Union Cemetery, at a later date.

Carolyn Jean Putz, 76, the daughter of L. Keith and Eureta Mae (Adams) Barr-Keeney, was born October 27, 1943, in Indianola, Iowa. She was a senior high school graduate.

In 1970, Carolyn was united in marriage with Larry F. "Moe" Putz. To this union three children were born: Calista, Shelly and Daniel. She had devoted her life to her family, and enjoy the outdoors and all animals.

Carolyn passed away on Thursday evening, July 23, 2020, at MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Larry in 2017; her daughter Calista in 2018; and one brother.

Those left to honor Carolyn's memory include her son and daughter-in-law Daniel and Kelly Putz; her daughter Shelly Putz; her two sisters and three brothers; and her nephews, nieces and friends. {Due to state and federal guidance on gatherings, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, facemasks are encouraged at the services.}
