Obituary of Christina Ann Supino

Christina Ann “Chris” Supino, the daughter of Carlo Joseph and Beverly Ann (Vander Leest) Supino, was born March 30, 1956 in Newton, Iowa. Chris graduated from the Newton Senior High School with the class of 1974. She went on to attend the University of Northern Iowa. Chris worked as a forklift driver for the Pella Corporation in Pella, Iowa for 35 years. Chris was a member of the Women of the Moose; she was past president and current association manager of the Jasper County W.B.A.; and was president of the Iowa Women’s bowling Writers Club. Chris enjoyed bowling and was very proud of her 300 game. She also enjoyed music, playing the guitar, sports, and her time coaching girls’ softball. Chris died on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Skiff Medical Center in Newton. She was 61 years old. Chris was preceded in death by her grandparents. Those left to honor Chris’ memory include her parents, Carlo and Beverly Supino of Newton, IA; her siblings, Carlo C. (Carol) Supino of Newton, IA, Tim Supino of Des Moines, IA, Terri Supino of Altoona, IA, Wendy Supino of Norwalk, IA and Annie (Christopher) Mielke of Johnston, IA; her many nieces and nephews and her good friend, Carolynn Lee of Burlington, IA. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 18th at the Pence ~ Reese Funeral Home in Newton. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Memorials may be designated in Chris’ name and may be left at the funeral home.
